Both subsections have 50 questions, and candidates must attempt 40 questions from either sub-section. There is no Negative Marking in CUET Section 1 and each correct response receives two marks.
- Section II covers domain-specific subjects and has a total of 45 questions. Candidates must attempt 35 questions. Each correct answer is awarded four marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
- Section III is the General Test section and has a total of 60 questions. Candidates must attempt 50 questions. Each correct answer is awarded four marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
