Last year’s cutoff data, decoded β so you know exactly where you stand and what to aim for.
1. Why This Matters to You
Delhi University released its Allocation Minimum Score for UG Admissions 2025. This single document tells you the lowest CUET score that got someone a seat β in every programme, at every college, in every category.
If you’re prepping for 2026, this is your map. Use it to answer one question: “Where do I realistically have a shot?”
Quick definitions:
- Cutoff = the lowest score that received an allocation in that round.
- It changes by college + programme + category (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD).
- Round 1 cutoffs are the highest β they ease in Rounds 2, 3, and the spot round.
2. The Big Picture: 2025 in Numbers
- Over 1,500 programme-college combinations were allocated in Round 1.
- Scores ranged from 65 (B.A. Hindi, Mata Sundri College) to 950+ (B.A. Political Science, Hindu College).
- Three patterns stood out:
- Humanities at top colleges had the fiercest competition.
- B.Com (Hons.) cutoffs at premier colleges clustered between 740β917.
- Science programmes had the widest spread (sub-250 to 820+), depending on college and subject.
3. Find Your Score Band: What’s Realistic for You?
Start here. Match your expected CUET score to the strategy below.
Score 800+
You’re in the running for DU’s most competitive seats.
- Targets: B.Com (Hons.) at SRCC, B.A. Economics/Political Science at Hindu/Miranda House/Hansraj, B.Sc Mathematics at top colleges.
- Tip: Order your preferences carefully β competition at this level is razor-thin.
Score 750β800
Strong options remain.
- Targets: B.Com (Hons.) at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma, Motilal Nehru, Gargi, or Daulat Ram. Economics and History at mid-to-upper-tier colleges for arts students.
Score 700β750
Solid commerce and arts pathways.
- Targets: B.Com (Hons.) at Shivaji (~772) or Ramanujan (~785, eases in later rounds). B.A. Economics at mid-tier colleges. BA Programme combinations are also worth considering.
Score 650β700
Focus on accessible but genuine DU degrees.
- Targets: BA Programme courses, B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science at colleges like Rajdhani, B.Com (Hons.) at Bhagini Nivedita, Janki Devi, or Lakshmibai. Also consider B.Voc programmes.
Score Below 650
DU is still very much in reach.
- Targets: Physical Science programmes, Sanskrit, Hindi, and BA Programme combinations at smaller colleges β cutoffs here range from 200β550. These are full DU degrees with the same affiliation and exams.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| SRCC β B.Com (Hons.) | 917.43 | 849.42 | 792.49 | 747.52 |

General patterns:
- URβOBC gap: roughly 60β90 points
- URβSC gap: roughly 100β200 points
- ST gap: widest variation β can be 300+ points below UR in most programmes, but at extremely high-demand seats like Hindu’s Political Science, even ST cutoffs crossed 899
- EWS: typically trails UR by 50β80 points
- PwBD: can drop below 400 even at top colleges, due to horizontal reservation
9. Six Trends to Remember
- Humanities now rivals (or beats) Commerce. Political Science, Psychology, and History cutoffs at top colleges match or exceed B.Com (Hons.) β driven by CUET’s subject flexibility.
- Programme combinations are a real backup. BA Programme combos (e.g., Economics + Mathematics, History + Political Science) at mid-tier colleges often start below 700.
- Science cutoffs run lower relative to difficulty. BSc (Hons.) cutoffs are typically 100β200 points below equivalent humanities cutoffs at the same college β fewer Science students apply to DU.
- Women’s colleges are extremely competitive β LSR, Miranda House, Gargi, and Daulat Ram often rival or exceed co-ed peers.
- College tier matters a lot. The same programme can differ by 200β300+ points between a Tier 1 college (SRCC, Hindu, Miranda) and a Tier 3 college.
- Sanskrit and Physical Science remain accessible. Scores of 200β350 can still secure a genuine DU degree through these routes.
10. What to Expect in 2026
Based on 2025 patterns:
- Top programmes (Political Science, Psychology, Economics, B.Com Hons. at elite colleges) should stay near 2025 levels, with Β±10β20 point shifts.
- Mid-tier colleges may tick up slightly as students recalibrate preferences after seeing 2025 data.
- Science programmes may see modest increases as more students pick CUET Science combinations.
- Newer combinations like Economics + Mathematics could trend upward.

11. Quick FAQs
- Is the Round 1 cutoff the official minimum score? Yes β it’s the lowest CUET score that received an allocation in that round at that college/programme. Later rounds usually go lower.
- How many rounds does DU run? Typically three regular rounds plus a spot round, with cutoffs generally declining each round.
- Can a reserved-category student get into a top college with a lower score? Yes β category cutoffs are significantly lower. Example: Hansraj’s Economics (Hons.) SC cutoff was 642 vs. 864 for UR.
- Does preference order matter? Critically. DU’s CSAS allocates by merit + your preference order β list ambitious choices first, safety options later.
- Easiest route to a DU degree for a lower scorer? BA Programme combinations, B.Sc (Prog.) Physical Science, and language courses like Hindi or Sanskrit.
- Do Morning and Evening shifts differ? Yes β Evening colleges (e.g., Dyal Singh Evening, Motilal Nehru Evening) typically run 50β100 points lower than their Morning counterparts.
12. Bottom Line
Your CUET score isn’t the only factor β strategy is. Know your band, research colleges within that range, and build a preference list that maximizes your chances across all rounds. With 70+ colleges and over 1,500 programme-college combinations, DU has room for nearly every score range.
