Is CUET difficult to crack?
CUET, or Common University Entrance Test, is an entrance exam that is introduced in India and opens the admission window for nearly 250+ universities. The exam structure consists of three sections, language, domain subjects and aptitude tests which in turn makes the preparation seem overwhelming, but that is not the case, it is easier than you think as in the first two sections, candidates can choose their preferred subjects.
The first section (language section) has two different parts, part A and part B. In part A, a choice among 13 languages is given, and in part B, a choice among 20 languages is given. In the second section (domain subjects), a choice among 27 domain subjects is given, and the syllabus for these is based on the 12th-grade syllabus. In section three (general ability test), aptitude-based questions are asked.
The key to cracking the exam is to be aware of your setbacks, have a strong focus, have high motivation, and have a positive attitude, along with regular practice.
- Be sure about your goals and make your schedule accordingly. If you are hoping to get into top universities, then you need to have an unbreakable will and focus while preparing for the entrance exam.
- Study well for your boards, as the syllabus of domain subjects is based on 12th-grade NCERT. Studying it in time will make the preparation a tad bit easier.
- When choosing domain subjects, make a conscious choice among them. Sit back, think thoroughly, and then choose the subjects you are most confident in. Do not take this entrance exam as an opportunity to test yourself in subjects you find difficult.
- Make a separate notebook for current affairs and update it regularly, as current affairs end up creating problems. Please do not leave the aptitude part for last; it gets hectic to keep up with everything.
- Time management is the ultimate key. Learn how to manage time effectively and efficiently. Along with having a good study schedule, make sure that you give yourself time to breathe.
