CUET 2026 Expected Cutoff for Commerce Students at Delhi University

CUET 2026 results are out, and DU admission 2026 is now underway through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Under CSAS, students fill college-course preferences and seats are allocated across multiple rounds based on their composite CUET score. Commerce students targeting B.Com (Hons), B.Com (Programme), BMS, BBA (FIA), BA Business Economics, BA Economics, and B.A. Programme at DU need to know one thing above all else: which score gets you into which college.

This blog uses official 2025 CSAS actual closing scores as the benchmark to project realistic DU commerce cutoff 2026 figures β€” course by course, college by college.

Brief Analysis of DU Commerce Cutoff 2025

In 2025, SRCC was the most competitive Commerce destination β€” B.Com Hons closed at 917.43 in Round 1 for the General category.Β

Β

North Campus colleges completely dominated the top of every Commerce cutoff table. SRCC, Hindu College, and Hansraj held above 900 for B.Com Hons throughout all major allocation rounds. For management programmes, SSCBS was in a league of its own β€” BMS closed at 555 and BBA FIA at 577 out of 750 in 2025. South Campus colleges like Gargi, Sri Venkateswara, and Daulat Ram offered more accessible B.Com Hons seats in the 860–895 range.

Expert Prediction for CUET 2026

CUET 2026 registrations have grown year-on-year, while DU Commerce seat intake remains unchanged β€” structurally keeping cutoff pressure high. B.Com Hons and BA Economics cutoffs at SRCC, Hindu, and Hansraj are expected to hold steady at or marginally above official 2025 levels.

Β

The most significant change in 2026 is the updated 4-subject criteria for BMS, BBA FIA, and BBE, raising their composite scale to 1000. This redistributes competition and makes direct comparisons with older 2025 merit ranks difficult. Students must use projected 1000-point equivalents (as shown above) rather than older raw trends for planning.

Β

A safe score for top B.Com Hons colleges remains 910+. For SSCBS BMS and BBA FIA on the new 1000-point scale, aim for 730+ and 755+ respectively. Fill at least 15–20 CSAS preferences spanning aspirational, realistic, and safe college-course combinations.

Conclusion

DU commerce cutoff 2026 is expected to remain highly competitive, closely mirroring actual 2025 allocation trends for B.Com Hons and BA Economics. The shift to a 1000-point scale for BMS, BBA FIA, and BBE introduces a new variable β€” students targeting management programmes must recalibrate their expectations accordingly. Build a wide CSAS preference list, include both North and South Campus options.
